Stovehouse
A 1929 stove factory turned food garden, event space, and live-music hub on Governors Drive.

A Stove Factory With a Second Life
Stovehouse is at 3414 Governors Drive SW, in the old Martin Stove building that dates to about 1929. The building was first home to the Electric Belle Stove Company, it later made stoves under the Martin Stamping and Stove name, and during World War II it was used to make bomb crates. The roughly 200,000-square-foot building was redeveloped into a village of restaurants, bars, event space, shops, and offices.
What It Is Like Now
Stovehouse has an open-air food garden with locally owned restaurants and treats, several stages for live local music, and an event center. It is casual and family-friendly during the day and picks up in the evening when the bands play.
Nearby
It is a short drive from Lowe Mill and Campus No. 805, so the three combine easily into a West Huntsville evening. Bandito Burrito is right on Governors Drive.
